sponsored.pngThis multi-media performance features music from the Latin Grammy award-winning album Antonio Lysy at the Broad —Music from Argentina and one of the most esteemed tango couples in the world—Miriam Larici and Leonardo Barrionuevo (Tango competition winners of NBC’s Superstars of Dance and choreographers on FOX’s So You Think You Can Dance). Te Amo, Argentina will highlight the cello of Antonio Lysy, with dance by Miriam Larici and Leonardo Barrionuevo, music by the the esteemed Borromeo String Quartet and other chamber musicians, and projected animations and images of Argentine landscapes.

Larici and Barrionuevo’s original choreography blends traditional tango with balletic and modern dance movements, creating a uniquely expressive tribute to Argentina while mirroring the classical and contemporary elements of the music.

The performance also features the crittically acclaimed Borromeo String Quartet. The Borromeo has been redefining the classical music landscape through the pioneering the use of computers that enable each musician to perform entirely from four-part scores instead of individual parts, a revealing and transformative experience which has never before been possible.

Te Amo Argentina blends music and dance, a true homage to Argentina and its many art forms: the by‐products of indigenous and European cultures melted together in history’s fiery and passionate crucible.
